So many gods, so many creeds,
So many paths that wind and wind,
While just the art of being kind,
Is all this sad world needs.

Preamble
From the above quotation, it is evidently clear that all that this world needs is the milk of human kindness. This aptly describes the disposition of Rt. Hon. (Surv) Aniedi Ikpong King – a member of the Federal House of Representatives. To this humble and astute administrator, the essence of every opportunity is for service either to God or humanity. To underscore his penchant for service and enhancement of the political and socio-economic life of his people, Rt. Hon. (Surv) King, immediately after being sworn-in as Member of the House of Representatives convened a meeting of all stakeholders in the Etinan Federal Constituency project, where he unveiled his blue-print for the development of the people he represents. This all important convocation took place at his Constituency Office @ No. 37 Hospital Road, Etinan, Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on the 27th August, 2007.
At the gathering, Rt. Hon. (Surv) King informed his constituents that he would establish a Foundation - a platform upon which his personal projects would be articulated and rigorously pursued for the betterment of all and sundry. He equally averred that the Foundation would have the underlisted components:
- Scholarship/Educational Development
- Women Empowerment
- Poverty Alleviation
- Skills Acquisition
- Sports Development
Launching of the Foundation
The Foundation was formally launched on Friday 16th May, 2008, at the Millennium Hall, Etinan Local Government Council. The ceremony among other things featured the presentation of Scholarship Awards and Empowerment Grants to deserving Students in Tertiary and Secondary institutions and women in the Constituency respectively. At the occasion, a total number of 75 students of tertiary institutions were awarded scholarship, while 67 of their counterparts in Post Primary institutions were also empowered. 21 women drawn from the 3 Local Government Areas (Etinan, Nsit Ibom & Nsit Ubium) that make up Etinan Federal Constituency were given empowerment grants to enhance their trading occupation. Though Rt. Hon. (Surv) Aniedi King kick-started the execution of his projects aimed at improving the lives of his constituents with the presentation of scholarship and empowerment grants, he hinted that in no distant time other projects such as poverty alleviation, skills acquisition and sports development would be undertaken as promised by him.
The ceremony which was chaired by one of the distinguished sons of the Constituency, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (rtd) - first indigenous Military Administrator of Akwa Ibom State, had in attendance the Hon. Speaker of the House of Representatives, represented by the House Majority Leader Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihaedioha, Rt. Hon. (Surv.) Aniedi King (Host), the Chief Judge of the State, Justice (Mrs.) Eno Otu, the Hon.
