Birth and Parentage
Born August 21st, 1946 at Ikot Ibok, Iman Ibom in Etinan LGA by Obong Jack Essien-Ibok Essien (Father) and Obubitowo Essien-Ibok (Mother). His father was the Village Head of Ikot Ibok for 40 years and also the Customary Court of Appeal President for years.While, his mother (nee Udo Umoh Akpa-Ata) came from Royal Family of Udo Umoh Akpa Ata in Ikot Umiang Ede Village of same LGA.

- Member of the Presidential Visitation Panel to the University of Lagos 1998.

- Currently he is a Council Member of Zaria Academy, Zaria, and Kaduna State.
